Matthew Caley's debut Thirst [Slow Dancer, 1999] was
nominated for The Forward Prize for Best First Collection and
was followed by The Scene Of My Former Triumph [Wrecking Ball, 2005].
His third collection Apparently was published
by Bloodaxe in 2010 and featured on BBC Radio 3’s The Verb.
He has been Commended, 3rd and 2nd in recent National
Poetry Competitions.
His work is included in Identity Parade: New
British & Irish Poets ed by Roddy Lumsden and The
Picador Book Of Love Poetry ed John Stammers. He has read
his work in venues across the county and abroad, recently
at The Durham Book Festival, the 5th Novi Sad International Literary
Festival in Serbia and The Aldeburgh Festival.
His ‘lost fin-de-siecle’ concept collection Professor
Glass is published by Donut Press in spring 2011.
